The Coachman Inn - At The Coachman Inn the focus on food remains on sourcing the best quality ingredients, preparing them simply and delivering bags of flavour on the plate. They are proud of their good, honest, robust and stylish food with its origins firmly based on traditional European cuisine.
The Lunchtime and Evening menus offer a broad choice of dishes for everyone, whether you’re looking for a light snack or a much more serious affair. Recent Blackboard specials have included – Traditional Steak & Mushroom Deep Crust Pie, Grilled Halibut on a Prawn & Mussel Risotto and Deep Fried Squid on a Rocket Salad with a Chili, Lime and Ginger Dressing. After sourcing and purchasing the best ingredients, both locally & nationally, they make about 90 percent of the food they serve themselves - breads, desserts, ice creams, chutney etc.. are all produced here... They leave all the sausage making, lettuce growing, sheep rearing and mushroom hunting to the experts!

The Anvil Inn - The style of cooking at The Anvil is quite eclectic, described as “invention without pretension”. which sums us up pretty well. The Anvil uses only the freshest, finest ingredients and of course from as local a source as possible. They also have excellent fish being so near the coast. The restaurant is small and intimate with only seven tables seating a maximum thirty people.
Sunday Lunch is extremely popular at The Anvil, and booking is essential. Choose from one, two or three courses from 12midday until 2.30pm. Prime roast local beef is always available, then we alternate with pork and lamb. There is also a fish dish and vegetarian option. The choice of puddings is varied and there is always something with custard – most important on a Sunday!
